Chongqing Science Hall • Interactive Lighting Installation
Chongqing Science Hall, located at the intersection of Science Avenue and Gaoxin Avenue in Chongqing High-Tech Zone, stands majestically as an innovation landmark of the Western Science City. It is not only a new urban calling card of Chongqing, but also a core carrier for driving the city's technological innovation and development—integrating functions such as technology exhibitions, academic conferences, innovation incubation, and cultural exchanges, thus setting a model for a "multi-functional, integrated complex". More than just a key window for technological exchanges and achievements display in the High-Tech Zone, it continuously attracts high-end international conferences and sci-tech events from around the world, serving as an important link connecting global innovation resources.

The design of the Science Hall is deeply rooted in the philosophy of "originating from nature, returning to science". Respecting the original terrain and conforming to the natural landscape, it has been built into a scientific palace that embodies Chinese wisdom, Chongqing characteristics, and the essence of landscapes. Every brick and tile here bears the reverence for science and respect for nature. The entire building is like a spaceship from a sci-fi movie, carrying a strong sense of futurism and technology, gently landing by Jinfeng Lake in Chongqing High-Tech Zone. Standing at the entrance of the giant "space capsule" and looking up, one is instantly surrounded by a surge of technological vibes, as if stepping into a future world.

On the entrance platform, twelve luminous floor tiles are installed. When someone steps on a tile, it lights up completely; at the same time, a high-power beam of light from the ceiling over ten meters high lights up, illuminating the entire tile and making the participant feel like the protagonist with a shining aura. Each participant can light up a beam individually. If twelve people participate in the interaction together, all beams will light up, symbolizing that this "giant ship of wisdom" is setting sail, exploring forward into the unknown fields of technological innovation.

We are honored to have provided the interactive lighting system for Chongqing Science Hall and successfully completed the debugging, perfectly embodying the designer's intentions and adding some energy to the "take-off" of Chongqing Science Hall. The Ethernet DMX Controller and DMX NETBUS adopted in this project are our core products. In traditional interactive projects, a computer or console is usually used as the main controller, while our network offline console can operate independently without a computer, enabling precise control of high-power beam lights. The offline console used this time can not only control all beam lights as a whole, but also allow 12 beam lights to be controlled individually without interfering with each other, greatly enhancing the fun of interaction. The DMX intelligent gateway is used to convert the RS485 interactive signals from the floor tiles into the UDP signals required by the offline console, thereby realizing long-distance interactive control. In addition, the network debugging function of the offline console allows the project to be quickly programmed and previewed via wireless WIFI, providing solid hardware support for the rapid completion of the project.
